ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY VISITS CEBU!
Governor Ann K. Hofer led a big delegation of Zamboanga Sibugay municipal mayors, municipal tourism officers, municipal planning development officers, select provincial officials, and private sector representatives in a Benchmarking and Learning Mission to Cebu organized by the Department of Tourism of Regions 7 and 9.
The full-packed 3-day jaunt consisted of guided tours to some of the well-known tourist sites in the province and courtesy calls on the local chief executives of Lapu-Lapu City and the Province of Cebu.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and the Cebu provincial officials hosted Governor Ann and her team to a showcase of its tourism best practices. Both women are true-blooded Cebuanas who share the same distinction of being the first lady governors in their respective provinces.
In Lapu-Lapu City, Governor Ann and her team were warmly welcomed by Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan and Congresswoman Cindi Chan of the lone district of the historic resort city. The local officials of the host city imparted to the team their best practices in disaster risk reduction and mitigation.
